A collection whose artwork crosses the word out in red and signs it with the coordinates of Paris
Storefront
A shop organised around menswear, womenswear, and collections, with search, account, and cart
Custom themes
Two full e-commerce themes written from scratch rather than bought and adjusted
Checkout and account
Cart, checkout steps, order history, address book, and transactional emails, all themed
Technologies used
Sylius
First storefront, with the RvbyTheme on top
Symfony
Framework under Sylius, with Doctrine
PrestaShop
Second storefront, 1.7, with 32 overridden modules
Twig
Template language of the Sylius theme
Docker
Local environment, alongside Travis CI
Gallery

Storefront home page, with the gem set under the wordmark

Astronomy capsule artwork, signed with the coordinates of Paris

Capsule pieces on mockups
Challenges encountered
Rebuilding the entire storefront on a second platform three weeks after the first
Holding a luxury register with a logo, two colours, and no photography budget
Theming an e-commerce suite end to end, down to address forms and transactional emails
Designing a shop for a collection that was never manufactured
Key learnings
Switching e-commerce platforms costs the whole theme, and the second build is not faster than the first
The identity and the capsule held up, the shop around them had nothing to sell
A credible store means hundreds of templates, most of them pages nobody thinks about
A brand run alongside client work needs someone whose job is the brand
Future perspectives
Both repositories are archived, and the brand was never relaunched
